Creamy Shrimp Spaghettini

Shrimp Spaghettini-

This delicious dish could be your dinner tonight!

All you need is the secret ingredient…a package of Boursin Garlic and Fine Herbs cheese.

Sure, you could use regular cream cheese here, perhaps add your own herbs mix, but I highly suggest you try it with the Boursin. It adds some really great flavour.

A word of warning…Boursin cheese is extremely yummy! You may find yourself snacking on it while waiting for the pasta to cook…make sure to set half of it aside, well hidden, or you may find yourself all out of the “secret ingredient” (trust me on this, it’s that good!).

Make this for a date night, double the recipe and make if for your family, or make it for dinner and take the rest for lunch the next day.

*this is NOT a sponsored post, I just really like the Boursin cheeses!

*serves 2

200g spaghettini
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter (if you have garlic butter use it!)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clve garlic, minced
20 frozen or fresh unshelled medium size shrimp, cleaned, preferably tail off
1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon (lime juice is also good)
1/4 cup white wine
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup whipping cream or table cream
4 tbsp Boursin garlic and fine herbs cheese
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Cook pasta as per package directions. Drain, toss with a bit of olive oil, cover and set aside.

In a large pan, melt butter over med high heat. Add onion and saute 3 minutes until soft.

Add garlic, shrimp and lemon juice and saute 2 min. Then add wine and cook 3-5 minutes more.

Season with salt and pepper, then add cream and Boursin cheese and cook on med heat until it comes to a boil and cheese is melted and combined.

Turn off heat, add spaghettini and toss to coat well.

Divide between 2 dishes, garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
