Nutella Cappuccino

Finally…an afternoon to myself…yes!!!
I’ve been itching to start reading the book I received for Christmas since…well, since Christmas day actually!
But with holiday invites and work schedules I just haven’t had the time.

The book is “Shopaholic to the Stars” by Sophie Kinsella.
It is the newest book from her popular “Shopaholic” series, which I loved, and I’m hoping it is as funny and enjoyable a read as the others were. I will let you know…

Sitting by the fireplace with my book would not be complete without a cup to sip on.

Today’s choice is one of my new faves, a recipe I adapted from one I found in a grocery flyer.

Key ingredient…Nutella!

And, honestly, if you are a Nutella fanatic, like me, you don’t really need me to tell you much more!
Make yourself a cup and enjoy this great combination of flavours…coffee, hazelnuts and chocolate…yum!

Nutella Cappuccino

*makes 1 serving/cup


1 tbsp Nutella
1 shot freshly brewed espresso (about 1/4 cup)
1/2 cup 1% skim milk, or any milk of your choice


In a medium sized coffee cup, stir Nutella into hot espresso until melted and combined.

Heat and froth your milk with your espresso machine or a hand held frother.

Add milk to cup, stir and top with remaining milk foam.


*with only 156 cal per serving (using 1% milk) this is a better choice than your local sugary latte!

By the way, below is the original recipe I clipped from the flyer (possibly from Metro?). I prefer espresso, and in my opinion a bit too much milk and not enough Nutella used! Lol! But it probably tastes pretty good.
