Peanut Butter Cocoa Breakfast Smoothie

Spreading good tastes

All my favourite breakfast ingredients in one glass…does it get any better than that?!

This smoothie has become a go-to meal on busy mornings, because it’s delicious (I refuse to waste calories on anything that doesn’t taste great!) and it’s also healthy, high in protein, delivers fibre and vitamins, and keeps my tummy satisfied for several hours.

It’s a win-win kinda thing!

If you are new to smoothie making and perhaps a bit intimidated by the sometimes crazy veggie/fruit combos (I definitely was!) then this one is for you.

Give it a try!

Craving a fruity smoothie? Check out this delicious mix:

*Serves 1

Spreading Good Tastes-Peanut Butter Breakfast Smoothie

1 banana, frozen
4 heaping tbsps greek yogurt, vanilla or plain (or 1 single serving yogurt cup)
2/3 cup skim milk
2 tbsp peanut butter
3 tsps cocoa powder
1-2 tsps ground flax
1 tsp cocoa nibs (optional but a great addition)

Add all ingredients to a blender cup and process until well blended and smooth.

Pour into a glass, grab a straw and enjoy!

Cocoa nibs are pretty new to me too, I have only used them in smoothies so far and they are perfect in this one, as well as a cherry chocolate smoothie I also make. Yum yum! Thanks for dropping in, hope u have a great day😊

I am all about drinking my breakfast, especially when there’s chocolate involved. I’ve never tried flax, but I’ve read a good bit about it. I’ll have to get some so I can make this!

I host a weekly link party that just went live- I’d love for you to stop by and link up!

This smoothie sounds great! I love anything with peanut butter and banana, and it’s a similar recipe to the one I buy at the smoothie shop downtown. Pretty excited to make it! Thanks so much for sharing at Inspiration Thursday!

I make a similar smoothie, and it is my fave! I try to convince myself to have green and fruity flavored smoothies more often, but the chocolate one is just soooo good πŸ™‚
